Donald asks…

What to wear with my black dress??!!?

Ok so I’m 13.
I have a very fancy party to go to soon.
I was planning on wearing a black dress its so cute, a few inches above my knees and it had thick straps and it has a lot of different textures to it, I got it made its stunning!!
Anyways I have these heels. They are black booties with a bow on the side… A few inches high.. I was wondering if I should wear these… Btw I’m 5″8 and 13 so idk…. But I’ve worn them a few times before…
I love this outfit together cuz in really into fashion and all that, but do you think its slutty??
Idk… I think its a beautiful striking outfit and its very high fashion too… So what do u think???
Thanks

LoveKnots answers:

I don’t think the dress sounds slutty, but when I wear short dresses and skirts I like to wear bicycling shorts underneath. I got mine at Wet Seal for around eight dollars, and they have cute lace at the bottom. You could also just wear some opaque black or red tights, and I would wear a long pearl necklace with a knot at the end.

Mother’s Day gift help?!?

I want to buy my mom a nice gift for mothers day. I trying to decide whether I should get her euphoria by calvin klein or the heart pendant necklace from tiffany. I really like the scent of the perfume but I don’t know if she will. The necklace is pricey that is my hesitation but I know she will love it. I am only 15 and have a job so i’m not sure if money should be an issue. Any advice? or any other gift suggestions? Thanks so much ;D

LoveKnots answers:

Most mom’s don’t want their children to spend that much money on them.

Make a laminated (or non-laminated) bookmark: find pictures of the two of you or pictures she would like out of a magazine or inspiring words- it can be a few small pics or just one. Cut the construction paper to the size you want and start gluing the pictures on, then take it to Staples/Office Max, Office Depot or a store like that and get it laminated, then cut it. After hole-punch the top and put a ribbon or twine of some kind through the hole and tie it in a knot. You can even skip laminating it.

Make a ‘love jar’ and fill it with origami hearts, flowers and slips of paper with notes of appreciation written on them or ‘I love you’ written in different languages (on the back write which language it is).

How to make net necklace for stone?

Ok so I saw this pic of a necklace that had a stone in it.. But the stone was held in by the necklace which was made like a net.. I can’t add a link cuz I don’t kno how to but if you google image “rock necklace” it’s one of the first images..what I’m mainly wanting to know how to do is make the first loops that are around the 3 laces holding the stone in the net… I’ve looked up how to make nets and have tryed to make it simalar to the necklace but didn’t look to good.. If there’s a video/instructions or even the name of this type of netting or knot work please let me know.. Would love to get something close to or the exact instructions on how to make this.
Thank you!

LoveKnots answers:

Add “how to” to your search, then hit images and pick one.

In this case looks like they “cheated and used a glue gun.

can also try adding “instructions”, to this kind of search.

Charles asks…

Fashion help please!?

I really need a make over – all I ever wear is jeans and t-shirts and everything I own doesn’t seem to match or look good. I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy until recently so I’ve never been good with fashion lol.
I’m 22, 5″10 and a size 14 UK (size 12 US).

I’m starting a new job next month and really want a clean out of my old wardrobe COMPLETELY (taking no prisoners) and have loads of new outfits instead which are stylish, can be mixed and matched and look really good but casual rather than over the top. I try to go clothes shopping but come home with nothing as I never know what to buy or I see a nice top and don’t know what to pair it with!

I search in magazines or styles I like and notice clothes I’d like but I cant imagine any of them looking as good on me! :s

I’d love any help or tips. Thanks! And sorry for the long post!

LoveKnots answers:

Start with baby steps that make a HUGE difference in dressing up your wardrobe. For example, try a slouchy sweater with your fitted (dark) jeans and wear them with a pair of cute knee high boots. Add a long vintage necklace and make your hair look casual cute (sorry i don’t know what kind of hair you have so i can’t suggest anything more specific – when my hair was long i wore a top knot during the day then took it down at night and it became wavy). Check out steve madden jelly flats, peep toe heels, oxford heels, and (at least slightly feminine) vintage military boots. Also, keep an eye out for chiffon maxi dresses and sweetheart necklines. Here are some clothing websites that have a cute way of styling their models:

i favor slouchy, comfy clothes that hug at the true waist (if at all). I’ve also been favoring maxi skirts lately.

Mandy asks…

I need girlfriend advice please!!?

So basically, I’ve been dating this girl 3 weeks now and we both really like each other a lot but she lives an hour and a half a week and I drive there and back about 3 – 4 times a week. She is worth it. And I take her on many cute, romantic and sometimes random dates and sometimes I’ll surprise with starbucks or something. When we first started dating I said “I love you beautiful :) ” and she said “let’s wait on saying that :) ” So she doesn’t ever really get much for her birthday, which is sad. But her family is really nice and great! Anyways, I thought this year I’d make it real special so she said she has always wanted a pair of Vans shoes so I got her some and surprised her then last night she saw in the backseat that there was a gift bag, so i let her open it early for her birthday and I had bought her a necklace and she LOVED it. And for her birthday I’m taking her to her favorite restaurant! haha sorry this maybe a dumb question and what not, I just want some people’s opinions. i know for a fact she likes me a lot because i went to pick her up one time and (while she was in the other room getting ready) her mom’s friend said “you really made her day inviting her out tonight.” so that made me feel great! Thanks for your answers! :)

1) Do you think she is falling for me?
2) Is having sex in my car in a parking garage late at night a bad idea? (Both our parents are home a lot so I want some where more private and motel is out of the question.)
3) Good ways to turn her on?

Serious answers only please and thank you.

We’re both 18

LoveKnots answers:

Good info. Alright 1st I gotta say is “Don’t have intercourse”. For real man, especially this early. I have ruined 2 relationships do to sex, I’ve seen way to many people get hurt, and not have a true connection because their relationship starts to revolve around sex and pleasure. I know it is hard to do man, it was for me, but my current girlfriend Abby is still a virgin and I respect that so much! Okay besides that man, it seems she really likes you, and I know it’s hard but don’t say Love until they do, or after a good 6 months or so. Love is strong, Love isn’t puppy dog love, love is you can just sit there and talk for hours super deeply or randomly, love is waking up at 5am and cooking breakfast and packing lunch for your partner (my gf does this for me when I leave for work at 6am Monday – Friday and she’s on summer vacation from college so that shows a lot). Love is not needing to always buy her something, but just have laughter for days. So just hold off on Love. But she seems really into you and you into her which is Fantastic! That is really good man that you are so caring and thoughtful (you remind me of myself ha ha). Dude this is what a girl looks for: Be yourself, Humor, Kindness, Genuine, and Goal oriented. And so far you seem to cary those traits. Always help around her house and with her family, they seem to like you and just be yourself man. Honestly if you guys take it slow and just are able to talk and be open then you guys will last a really long time. Me and my girl we fart around each other (once 2 people are okay with farting, it’s like tying the knot aha). I just sit down with her every few days and just talk and talk for hours man. Just don’t get to carried away with buying things ( girls can get over whelmed,), you want it to be that special occasion, but substitute the lack of purchases by activities like: bowling, walking, exercise, movies, games, video games, hanging with the family, and also have time for alone time. Nothing brings 2 people closer then a little separation, because to much to quick and you might get over it to fast (unfortunately), but to long away and you’ll lose connection. So all in all: Be yourself, always talk (never hide anything), and just care for each other. (to help with sex, pray to God for help, there will be struggles but with His help He will be there for you).
